False Christians or Imperfect People?
Does a Christian messing up mean their faith is fake? There is a difference between someone struggling to follow Jesus and someone simply putting on a front. Let’s talk about mistakes, repentance, and why the people who hurt us shouldn’t have the final say in our relationship with God.
Be Open To Change
Sometimes the plan we thought God was leading us toward changes completely. That doesn’t always mean we got it wrong—it may mean God is leading us into the next step. I never expected to put woodworking on the back burner or consider opening another taxi service, but here we are. I still have no clue exactly what God has planned next, but I’m learning something important: make your plans, dream big, and work hard—but keep your hands open. Be open to change.
Never Give Up
Sometimes following God means walking through seasons where nothing seems to make sense. Plans fail, doors close, provision feels far away, and you start wondering where God is in all of it. I’ve been there.
But looking back, I’m beginning to see that some of the things I once called failures may have actually been preparation. God was still working, even when I couldn’t see it.
If you’re tired of waiting, your faith feels weak, or you’re wondering whether anything is ever going to change, never give up. Your story isn’t finished. Keep trusting God, keep taking the next step, and keep being faithful with what God has placed in front of you.
I Care, I Trust, I Give, I Love
Past hurt can affect how we trust, love, give, and respond to people today—but it doesn’t have to define us. We never fully know what someone else is carrying, either. Today, remember how much grace God has given you, and give someone else a spoonful of that same grace.
Where Are We, Family?
Have you ever walked into a church full of people and somehow still felt completely alone? Sometimes the person standing by themselves fought a battle just to walk through those doors. As the Church, we can do better at noticing people—but that includes me too. Sometimes they should reach out. Sometimes I should. So, family, who are we going to notice this Sunday?
Christ-Followers Aren’t Perfect - Grace Isn’t an Excuse — Part 4 of 4
Grace means we don’t have to pretend we’re perfect—but grace was never meant to become permission to stay unchanged. Part 4 closes the series by looking at repentance, obedience, spiritual growth, and what a Christ-follower actually looks like over time.
Christ-Followers Aren't Perfect -The Church Hurt Me — Part 3 of 4
Church hurt is real, and some wounds go far beyond ordinary human mistakes. But the failure of Christians, leaders, or even an entire church does not change who Jesus is. Part 3 looks honestly at spiritual hurt, accountability, boundaries, forgiveness, and learning to separate people’s actions from the character of Christ.
Christ-Followers Aren't Perfect - Hypocrite or Human? — Part 2 of 4
There’s a difference between hypocrisy and imperfection. Christians still fail, struggle, and sin—but hypocrisy begins when we pretend we don’t. Part 2 looks at what Jesus actually confronted as hypocrisy and why repentance, honesty, and growth matter more than pretending to have everything together.
Christ-Followers Aren’t Perfect Part 1 of 4
Christians aren’t perfect—and following Jesus was never supposed to mean pretending we are. We still struggle, fail, get angry, say things we regret, and make mistakes. The difference is that Jesus is changing us through grace, repentance, and growth. Part 1 of this series looks at the difference between being imperfect and being fake.
God Knows Every Road
Our choices matter. The Holy Spirit guides us, but we still have free will—and sometimes we take the wrong road. Those choices can bring real consequences and even delay our calling, but they do not make our mistakes greater than God's grace. God knows every road, and when we turn back toward Him, He still knows the way home.
Keep Going!
Following Jesus doesn’t mean every day will be easy or peaceful. There will be storms, spiritual battles, discouragement, and moments when you feel like quitting. But stop for a moment and look at how far God has already brought you. You may not be where you want to be yet, but you’re not who you used to be either. Put on the Armor of God, keep your eyes on Jesus, and keep going. God isn’t finished with you yet.
Your Life Matters
Life can get so heavy that giving up starts to feel like the only option. But your darkest moment is not the end of your story. God is close to the brokenhearted, your life has value, and you do not have to fight alone. Reach out, ask for help, and hold on—even if all you have left is enough strength to whisper, “Jesus, help me.”
When Rejection Makes God Feel Distant
Rejection hurts, especially when it leaves you wondering what went wrong or whether something is wrong with you. And when God feels quiet in the middle of that pain, it can be easy to wonder if God has rejected you too. But people’s rejection is not God’s rejection. Even when you don’t understand the why, God is still near, still faithful, and still with you through the unanswered questions.
Block Out the Distraction
Distraction Doesn't Always Look Dangerous
I want to talk about distractions today because they are everywhere.
And the dangerous thing about distraction is that it isn't always sin.
