Devotional
Watch out for false prophets. That’s not my opinion—that’s straight from Matthew 7:15–20. And right now, we are living in a time where God is moving in powerful ways. I’ve seen more people come to Jesus in the past few months than I have in years. That’s real. That’s something to celebrate.
But at the same time… we need discernment.
I’m not here to name names. That’s not my place. But I am saying this: be careful with some of these big voices and public figures claiming they’ve found Jesus. The question isn’t just what they’re saying—it’s how they’re living.
Because Jesus made it clear: you will know them by their fruit (Matthew 7:16). Not by their words., not by their posts and not by what they say on a stage. Fruit.
Real faith doesn’t just speak—it shows (James 2:17). A true relationship with Christ begins to change you. Not overnight, not perfectly, but genuinely.
And I’ll be the first to admit—change can take time.
I came back to Jesus in 2021, but it took me until June of 2025 to really start understanding and walking it out the right way. That’s a process. That’s growth. But even in that process, I was striving. I was repenting. I was fighting to not be the same person I used to be.
That’s the difference.
So when you see people boldly saying “Jesus” in public, but there’s no shift in their lifestyle behind the scenes… it should raise a flag. Not judgment—but awareness.
There’s one particular singer I’ve seen, and I truly hope they’ve found Jesus. I mean that. But something in my spirit just doesn’t sit right right now. And that matters.
Because as believers, we’re not just called to observe—we’re called to discern.
Jesus said His sheep know His voice (John 10:27). That means when something feels off, don’t ignore it. Bring it to God.
Now let’s be real—this part can get tricky.
God or Anxiety?
Sometimes that feeling in your gut… is the Holy Spirit.
And sometimes it’s anxiety.
I’m still learning that too.
But here’s what I’ve come to understand: if it aligns with God’s Word and His will, it’s from Him. If it pulls you away, creates confusion, or feeds fear that stops obedience—that’s not God.
Fear is one of the enemy’s favorite tools. It keeps you stuck, it keeps you quiet, and it keeps you from stepping into what God is calling you to do.
I know that personally.
I had horrible anxiety. Even making videos felt impossible. The fear, the pressure, the urge to run and hide—it was real. And when God told me I was called to be an online evangelist… my anxiety didn’t just knock—it kicked the door in.
Stage fright. Doubt. Every excuse you can think of.
But God doesn’t call you to stay comfortable—He calls you to grow.
So I’m pushing through. I’m still learning. Still growing. Still figuring it out day by day.
And maybe today hit two different topics—but sometimes that’s how the Spirit moves.
So here’s where I’ll leave you:
Pray more.
Talk to God.
But don’t forget to listen.
He is speaking.
I love you all. God bless.
Prayer
Lord, give us discernment in a world full of noise. Help us not to be led by words alone, but by truth and fruit. Teach us to recognize Your voice clearly and to follow it with confidence. Strengthen us to overcome fear and step into what You’ve called us to do. Continue to shape us, grow us, and correct us with love. We surrender our understanding and lean on You fully.
In Jesus’ name,
Amen.
