Devotional
Life will always bring challenges. Following Christ does not mean life suddenly becomes easy. In fact, Jesus clearly told us in John 16:33 that we will face trouble in this world. The enemy does not want us growing closer to God. He fights through lies, temptation, fear, distractions, discouragement, and a culture that constantly pushes people to follow feelings instead of following God.
The world can be loud. So loud that sometimes it becomes difficult to hear God’s voice clearly. That is why discernment matters so much. We have to learn to recognize when the enemy is attacking our minds, our faith, and our trust in God’s timing.
I want to share part of my own journey because maybe someone reading this is struggling too.
Last year, I gave up my career to become a caregiver for my mother. She has ongoing health issues that make daily life difficult for her. When I made that decision, I did not hesitate. I knew this was something God was calling me to do. I did not know how everything would work out or how bills would get paid, but I trusted God had a plan.
Now it has been nearly a year.
At the moment, my mom is in the hospital and may be entering short-term physical therapy care. During this season, God led me to start a ministry and business from my home and garage so I could still work while being present for my family. Anyone who has ever started a business or online ministry knows these things do not grow overnight. They take time.
And time is often where the enemy attacks the hardest.
There have been unpaid bills. Some things were taken back by the bank. Some situations are now threatening small claims court. Money has been tight. Yet somehow, God continues providing enough to handle what truly matters.
I am not sharing this for sympathy or financial help. I am sharing it because people often ask: “If God led you there, why is He allowing you to struggle?”
Honestly, I have asked God that same question myself.
But through this season, God has been teaching me things I never could have learned any other way.
He is teaching me that His timing is better than mine.
He is teaching me how to trust Him even when life feels uncertain.
He is teaching me how to surrender control completely.
He is teaching me how to grow spiritually instead of depending on comfort.
Even in the middle of all this, I have a peace I never had before in my life. A deep knowing that I am walking where God wants me to walk. My business is growing slowly, but growth is still growth.
Of course, there are still days when I ask God, “Why?” But asking God questions is not the same as abandoning faith. Job went through unimaginable suffering, yet he continued trusting God. In the end, God restored him beyond what he had before.
Sometimes God allows struggles because He is preparing us for something greater. Seeds take time before they produce fruit. Roots grow deep long before anything becomes visible above the surface. Our spiritual growth works the same way.
It may feel like God has forgotten you, but He has not.
God sees every tear. Every prayer. Every sacrifice. Every fearful night. Every moment you chose faith instead of quitting.
Do not give up during the waiting season.
Some growth only happens in hardship. Some strength only comes through surrender. Some faith only develops when all you can do is trust God day by day.
I truly love where God has me right now. Yes, I wish things would move faster sometimes. But I also know growing too fast can create pressure we are not ready to handle. God knows exactly what He is doing.
Keep your heart soft before God. Keep your faith rooted deeply in Him. Stay fertile for the seeds He is planting in your life.
God has not forgotten you.
He never will.
And He loves you more than anything this world could ever offer.
God bless you all, and have an amazing day.
Prayer
Lord, thank You for never leaving us during difficult seasons. Thank You for being faithful even when life feels uncertain. Help us trust Your timing when we do not understand what You are doing. Give us discernment to recognize the enemy’s attacks and strength to stand firm in faith. Teach us to surrender control fully to You and to keep growing even in hardship. Help us keep our hearts soft and ready for the seeds You are planting in our lives. Remind us daily that You have not forgotten us and never will. In Jesus’ name,
Amen.
