Devotional:

Good morning.

God is our Provider. That is true. He will provide. But we also need to understand that His provision often meets us in our obedience, our faithfulness, and our willingness to move when He says move.

We cannot just say, “God will provide,” and then sit around doing nothing for days on end. Yes, rest matters. Rest is biblical. There are times God will tell you to be still. But being still is not the same as being passive, careless, or lazy. Matthew 6:33 teaches us to seek first the Kingdom of God, and when we do that, He takes care of what we need. Seeking Him first means action. It means alignment. It means obedience.

This is something God has shown me in my own life. He led me to leave my job so I could care for my mother, build an online ministry, and start a faith-based business through God’s Grace Studios LLC. And I love that He gave me “Studios” because it is many things, not just one. It is ministry. It is business. It is creativity. It is obedience all woven together.

But even though I know the mission, I still have to do my part.

I have to build the woodworking pieces. I have to design the shirts, mugs, signs, wall art, and gifts. I have to make the video content. I have to write the text content. I have to keep showing up. Proverbs 16:3 says to commit your work to the Lord, and He will establish your plans. That means there is work to commit. James 2:17 reminds us that faith without works is dead. Real faith moves. Real faith responds. Real faith obeys.

You have to do your part too.

A better way to say it is this: God does provide, but we should not expect harvest where we refuse to plant. Scripture warns against idleness in places like Proverbs 10:4 and 2 Thessalonians 3:10. God is not calling us to lazy faith. He is calling us to faithful action.

The other day I thought of it like a quest, and maybe that fits because I enjoy video games. In a quest, you start with an assignment, and as you go, you gain skills, wisdom, endurance, and understanding. There are battles, tests, and missions that must be completed before the next level opens up. In a real and holy way, walking with God is like that. It is not a game, but it is a journey with purpose.

Trust God

God will give you what you need for each assignment. He will strengthen you, teach you, correct you, and guide you. But if you stop praying, stop reading His Word, stop repenting, and stop pursuing relationship with Him, you can stay stuck in places He meant for you to grow through.

And let’s be real, there will be seasons where it feels like nothing is happening. Weeks may go by. Even months. No movement. No breakthrough. No visible fruit. But that does not mean God is absent. Sometimes that quietness is a test of faith. Habakkuk 2:3 and Galatians 6:9 remind us not to quit just because the promise seems delayed. Keep going. Keep trusting. Keep doing the last thing God told you to do until He gives new instructions.

We are in a real spiritual war. Ephesians 6:11 says to put on the full armor of God. We are not here to play around. We are here to stand firm, fight the good fight of faith, and help lead lost souls back home.

So do not give up. Pray. Read your Bible. Repent quickly. Spread His Word. Stay faithful in the quiet. Stay obedient in the waiting. God will provide what you need for the mission He gave you.

God loves you.
I love you.
Never give up.

Have an amazing day.

Prayer:

Lord, thank You for being my Provider. Thank You for never failing me and never leaving me without what I truly need. Help me not to be lazy, distracted, or passive, but faithful, obedient, and willing to do my part. Give me strength for the assignment You have placed in front of me. Teach me to trust You in the quiet seasons and to keep working with faith even when I do not see results yet. Build my endurance, sharpen my spirit, and help me stay close to You through prayer, Your Word, and repentance. Remind me that every mission You give has purpose, and that You will equip me for it. Help me stand strong in the battle, wearing the full armor of God, and use my life to point others back to You. In Jesus’ name,

Amen.
