Devotional

Patience in the waiting… if we are honest, this is something we all struggle with. I know I do. There are areas of life where I can be incredibly patient. Then there are other things where patience feels almost impossible. I think part of that comes from how long we have already been waiting. When you have prayed about something for years, the weight of the wait can feel heavier with each passing day.

Sometimes it is not even a lack of patience. Sometimes it is anticipation. Anticipation of growth. Anticipation of what God is going to do. I feel that deeply when I think about God’s Grace Studios. I truly believe God has given me vision for where it is going. I am also completely open if His plans look different than what I imagine. But in my heart, I just know He is going to do something powerful through it. And the truth is, knowing that does not make the waiting easier. In some ways, it makes it harder. Because when you can see even a glimpse of what could be, you want to run toward it.

The Bible reminds us in Ecclesiastes 3:11 that God makes everything beautiful in its time. Not our time. His time. And that is where the real struggle begins. Waiting forces us to confront our hearts. Proverbs 4:23 tells us to guard our hearts because everything we do flows from it. Even how we wait flows from our hearts.

I believe God looks at our intentions during the waiting season. Yes, I believe God’s Grace Studios could become a large ministry and business. But my heart is not about getting rich or gaining recognition. I pray daily that my heart stays focused on God’s purpose. This vision is not for me. It is for Him. It is for people. For the lost. For the broken. For families who lose everything in disasters. It is about serving and loving in a real, tangible way. That is my heart. And God is looking at yours too.

So let me ask you something. Where is your heart while you are waiting? You have prayed again and again for something. Are you becoming angry or bitter because it has not happened yet? Or are you saying, “God, this is hard. I am trying to trust You, but I am struggling”?

God understands our humanity. He knows waiting is difficult. Psalm 27:14 encourages us to wait on the Lord and be strong. Strength in waiting does not mean pretending everything is easy. It means choosing trust even when it is hard. It means continuing to hope. It means believing that Romans 8:28 is true — that God is working all things together for good for those who love Him.

The reality is that we will not receive everything we ask for. If something is not part of God’s plan, it may never come to pass. But what will come to pass is something better — something shaped by His wisdom, not our limited understanding. Isaiah 40:31 promises that those who wait on the Lord will renew their strength. Waiting is not wasted. Waiting is preparation.

So be pure of heart in the waiting. Keep trusting. Keep praying. Keep surrendering your plans to Him. His timing is perfect even when we do not understand it. And one day, you will look back and see why the waiting mattered.

Love you all. God bless.

Prayer

Lord,
Waiting is hard. You know my heart and You know the things I have been praying for. Help me to trust Your timing even when I feel discouraged or tired. Keep my heart pure and focused on Your purpose, not just my desires. Give me strength to keep believing, keep hoping, and keep walking in faith. Teach me to rest in the truth that Your plans are always better than mine. I surrender the wait to You today.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
