Lord, Am I Doing Alright?

📖 Daily Devotional — “Lord, Am I Doing Alright?”

Happy Sunday, brothers and sisters!
Today’s devotional is different… because I know I’m not the only one who needs to hear this.

Lately, the devil has been doing sneak attacks — not the big, obvious ones I used to see coming. Those I could pray away quickly. Now he whispers:

  • “Are you sure you’re on the right path?”
  • “Maybe you’re not doing enough.”
  • “Did you hear God wrong?”

And I’ll be honest — I struggle with these thoughts.
I know many of you do too.

But here’s what God showed me:

This is where discernment steps in — something I didn’t even realize I had for the longest time. When those doubts hit, here’s what helps remind me of the truth:

✨ When you’re led by the flesh, you feel confident.

When you’re led by the Spirit, you feel dependent.

✨ When you’re led by sin, you feel justified.

When you’re led by the Spirit, you feel convicted.

✨ When you’re led by pride, you feel certain.

When you’re led by the Spirit, you feel humble.

✨ People led by the Spirit pray:

“Lord, am I still doing right?”

And here’s the part we forget:

👉 The fact that you even ASK the question means your heart is in the right place.

You ask because you care.
You wonder because you want to honor God.
You question because you don’t want to drift.
You worry “Is it enough?” because your spirit is alive, not asleep.

Could we do more sometimes?
Sure.
But God never asked you to burn yourself out.
He’s not calling you to run on fumes.
As the saying goes:

“Don’t burn the candle at both ends… and blow it out now and then (rest).”

God wants obedience, not exhaustion.
He wants devotion, not depletion.
He wants your heart, not your perfection.

So if you’re asking today,
“Lord… am I doing alright?”
let this be your reminder:

Yes.

You’re doing alright.
Because you’re still seeking Him.
You’re still caring.
You’re still fighting the whispers.
You’re still walking forward.
And you’re still becoming who He made you to be.

I love you all.
Have an amazing Sunday.

Keep going. You’re doing better than you think.
