Let’s just talk about Jesus.
Not just the idea of Him. Not just what people say. But who He actually is.
Jesus didn’t start in a manger. That’s where we met Him—but He’s eternal. John 1 makes it clear: He was there in the beginning. He is the Word. He wasn’t created—He is God. Colossians 1 backs that up too—everything was made through Him and for Him. That means your life isn’t random. It ties back to Him.
Then He stepped into earth.
Not as a king with armies—but as a baby. Humble. Quiet. Intentional.
And when He walked this earth, He didn’t come to blend in. Luke 19:10 says He came to seek and save the lost. That was His mission. Every step He took, every miracle, every conversation—it was all pointing to that purpose.
He healed people. He forgave sins. He flipped tables. He loved the outcasts. He called people higher.
And then…He gave His life.
Isaiah 53:5 says He was pierced for our transgressions. That wasn’t symbolic. That was real. Painful. Personal. He took what we deserved so we could have what we don’t deserve—grace, freedom, life.
But the story didn’t end at the cross.
He rose.
That changes everything.
Because now, Jesus isn’t distant. He’s not just a historical figure. Hebrews 7:25 says He is alive right now, interceding for us. That means He’s speaking on your behalf. He’s not ignoring you. He’s not tired of you. He’s actively covering you.
Right now, He’s present.
He’s leading. Convicting. Comforting. Calling.
And He’s preparing.
John 14:3 says He’s preparing a place for us—and He’s coming back. Not as a suffering servant this time, but as a victorious King. Revelation 19 paints that picture—powerful, undeniable, righteous.
So when you think about Jesus, don’t shrink Him down to one moment.
He was—before everything.
He came—to save.
He is—alive and working right now.
And He will return—in glory.
That’s Jesus.
And the real question is…what are you doing with Him?
Prayer
Jesus,
I just want to know You for who You truly are—not just pieces, not just what I’ve heard, but the real You. Help me see You clearly—Your power, Your love, Your sacrifice, and Your truth. Thank You for coming for me, for dying for me, and for still being present in my life right now. Teach me to follow You fully, not halfway. And remind me that You are coming again, so I stay ready and rooted in You.
