π Daily Devotional β “He’s Still Knocking”
π Verse “Behold, I stand at the door [of the church] and continually knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with him (restore him), and he with Me.” β Revelation 3:20 (AMP)
π Reflection Do you feel like you’re not worthy of Jesus? Do you feel like your life is just too messy? Do you think because you’re an active addict, Jesus doesn’t love you?
Read today’s verse again. Slowly. “Behold, I stand at the door and continually knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in and (restore him)…”
Jesus doesn’t care where you are. He’s not afraid of your mess. Go to church drunk, high, or in the middle of whatever has you broken. Jesus welcomes you! He’s not waiting for you to get “clean” first; He’s the one who does the cleaning.
Remember, not a single one of us deserves to be near Him. We’re all messy. But Jesus gave His life for you. Yes, you. All of us.
He is waiting at the door of your heart right now. He is knocking. You just have to simple, finally, open that door and let Him in. He loves you, even at your worst. Especially at your worst.
π Call to Action Will you open that door today? Will you let Jesus come in and feed your soul, restore your life? You’ve tried it the world’s way. Today, try it Jesus’s way. He’s waiting.
π Prayer (A prayer for all of us)
Father God, Lord Jesus… We come to you today. Anyone who reads these words that are far from you, may they just open the door today. They have tried it the world’s way. May they try it Jesus’s way today.
Today, Jesus, we open the door. Come in, fill us with your presence, your peace, your bread of life, and cleanse our sins with your blood, Jesus. Forgive us, we repent today and welcome you with open arms. We thank you and believe your sacrifice was real for us. We don’t deserve your love, but we thank you for it.
In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.
