📖 Daily Devotional — “Grace That Grows You”
James 4:6 — “But He gives us more and more grace…”
Before I came close to God, sin ran my life.
It controlled my choices, my habits, my thoughts — everything.
When I came back to God, I remember thinking:
“How in the world am I ever going to stop sinning?”
I knew we never become perfect this side of Heaven…
But back then, I didn’t even think I would want to stop.
Now here I am, four years later.
Do I still fall short?
Absolutely.
Do I still mess up?
Of course.
But here’s the difference now:
I don’t want to sin anymore.
Not because I’m “better,”
but because God has changed my heart.
Before, I sinned and felt guilt and shame and thought:
“I’ll never be good enough.”
But God taught me something life-changing:
- Because Jesus is in my heart
- Because I am covered by His grace
- Because my spirit has been made new
I am good enough — not by works, but by grace.
My flesh sins,
but my spirit belongs to God.
And the fact that I don’t want to sin anymore?
That’s evidence that God has already been transforming me.
And yeah — when I take my eyes off Him, the flesh wins.
But every time I turn back, every time I resist, every time I choose Him…
He gives me MORE grace.
More strength.
More growth.
Guys, listen:
It takes time to get here.
I STILL have a long way to go —
but I’m so far from where I used to be.
And you will get there too.
Keep your faith.
Keep your trust in God.
He will transform you from the inside out.
We’ve got this… because God’s got this.
Love y’all.
🙏 Prayer
Father, thank You for grace that never runs out.
Thank You for changing my heart, reshaping my desires, and helping me love what You love.
Strengthen me today. Draw me closer. Transform me daily.
And when I fall, remind me that Your grace is bigger than my weakness.
Amen.
