📖 Daily Devotional — “God in the Ordinary”
“And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus…”
— Colossians 3:17
💭 Reflection
Not every day feels spiritual.
Not every moment feels meaningful.
And honestly? Some days feel more like routine than revival.
But here’s the truth most people miss:
**God doesn’t just show up in the miracles **
He shows up in the ordinary.**
He’s in the quiet kitchen before the day begins.
He’s in the water before the coffee.
He’s in the small tasks, the simple rhythms, the steady breaths.
He’s in the slow mornings after a busy holiday.
He’s in the moments we don’t post, don’t celebrate, don’t highlight.
We’re trained to look for God in the big, the loud, the emotional…
but some of the greatest blessings happen when life is simple, steady, and calm.
Today, slow down long enough to notice Him:
✨ In the warmth of your home
✨ In the breath you just took
✨ In the peace you feel
✨ In the strength you still have
✨ In the ordinary routines that keep your life moving
You don’t need a miracle to know God is with you.
You just need to notice the miracles hidden in the normal.
Let gratitude spill over into today —
not because everything is perfect,
but because God is present.
Right here.
Right now.
Right in the ordinary.
🙏 Prayer
Lord, help me see You in the simple moments today.
Open my eyes to the blessings I overlook,
and remind me that You walk with me in the quiet just as much as the miracles.
Give me a heart that notices, a spirit that slows down,
and a mind that remembers You are present in every part of my day.
In Jesus’ name, amen.
