Devotional
Life can get heavy sometimes. There are moments where it feels like everything is falling apart at once. The stress, the uncertainty, the pain, the waiting, the disappointment — it can leave you wondering if things will ever get better. But I want you to remember something today: God has you.
You are not alone in this battle.
Yes, many of us face struggles in life. Jesus never promised that following Him would mean a pain-free life. In fact, in John 16:33, Jesus tells us plainly that we will face trouble in this world. He also warned that believers would experience hate, slander, persecution, and even death for His name’s sake. But that is not where the story ends. Jesus also promised that He would never leave us. God is still with you in the middle of the storm.
Sometimes life feels uncertain and endless. You pray and wonder if God hears you. You ask Him for help, healing, provision, peace, or direction, and the waiting can feel painful. But remember the story of Job. Job went through unimaginable suffering. He lost nearly everything, yet he continued to trust God even when he did not understand what was happening. And in the end, God restored him. God never abandoned him for a second.
That same God is with you now.
One thing that is important during hard seasons is learning to thank God before the breakthrough comes. Thank Him before the healing, before the answer, And thank Him before the provision shows up. Philippians 4 reminds us to bring everything to God with thanksgiving. Gratitude in the middle of hardship is an act of faith.
Now, that does not mean every prayer gets answered immediately or exactly how we expect on this side of heaven. Only God fully understands the timing and the reason behind certain things. But Scripture reminds us in Romans 8:28 that God works all things together for good for those who love Him. Even the pain, the waiting, and even the things the enemy meant to destroy you with.
God does not delight in your suffering. A broken world, spiritual attacks, and human choices bring pain into this life. But God is so powerful that He can take what was meant for evil and use it for something greater. Sometimes struggles draw us closer to Him in ways comfort never could.
The truth is, when humans get everything instantly, we often forget where the blessing came from. We stop depending on God. But difficult seasons remind us how deeply we need Him every single day. James 1 says trials can produce perseverance and maturity in our faith. God can use even the hardest moments to shape us.
So today, if your heart is tired, keep going. Keep praying. Keep trusting. And even if you cannot see the answer yet, take a moment to simply tell God thank you. Thank Him for staying beside you through it all.
God has you. He always will.
Have an amazing day. God bless you.
Prayer
Father, thank You for never leaving us even in our hardest moments. Thank You for being close when life feels uncertain and overwhelming. Help us trust You when we do not understand what is happening. Give us strength to keep going, faith to keep believing, and peace in the middle of every storm. Teach us to thank You before we ever see the breakthrough because You are always working, even when we cannot see it. Remind us daily that we are never alone because You are with us. In Jesus’ name,
Amen.
