📖 Daily Devotional — “Faith With Evidence”

(James 2 + Ephesians 2)

“For by grace you are saved through faith… not of works.”
— Ephesians 2:8–9

Paul tells us straight:
Faith alone saves you.
Not your good deeds.
Not your efforts.
Not your “trying harder.”

But then James comes in and says:

“Just as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead.”
— James 2:26

Wait…
So do we need works or not?!

Here’s the download, friends:

⭐ You are NOT required to do good works to get into Heaven.

Only faith in Jesus saves.

⭐ BUT if your faith is real, good works naturally flow out of you.

They’re the evidence — not the requirement.

Think about it like this:

If a man says,
“I love my wife,”
…but he never talks to her,
never spends time with her,
never defends her,
never sacrifices,
never tries to grow,
and never acts like she matters…

Do you believe him?

Probably not.
Not because love requires perfection…
but because real love always produces some kind of fruit.

It’s the same with faith.

🌱 Faith is the seed.

🍃 Good works are the leaves.

The leaves don’t save the tree…
but they show the tree is alive.

And good works aren’t always huge things.
They’re things like:

• praying for people
• fighting sin in your flesh
• helping where you can
• forgiving
• repenting
• growing closer to God
• encouraging others
• choosing love in hard moments

These things are evidence of living faith, not ways to earn salvation.

If you have faith,
you’ll have works —
because they go hand in hand.

Keep growing.
Keep loving.
Keep choosing God.

You got this because God’s got this.
You’re not broken… you’re becoming.

🙏 Prayer

Father, thank You that salvation is a gift I could never earn.
Help me walk out a faith that’s alive — a faith that produces love, obedience, compassion, and spiritual growth.
Strengthen me to fight sin, to serve others, and to reflect Jesus in my daily life.
Let my life show the world that You are real and that Your Spirit is working in me.
In Jesus’ name, amen.
