Devotional

The world wants to convince you that you're just another face in the crowd. That you're not special. That you have to fit in, follow the trends, and become like everyone else.

But that's not what God says.

God tells us that He created each one of us with purpose. Psalm 139 reminds us that He formed us in our mother's womb and knew every detail about us before we were even born. Ephesians 2:10 says we are God's masterpiece, created in Christ Jesus to do the good works He prepared for us long ago.

I like to think of it this way—we're like snowflakes. We all have similarities because we're all made by the same Creator, but no two are exactly alike. In the same way, every person reflects God's creativity in a unique way. We may have similar personalities, talents, or even look alike, but God has given each of us different gifts, different experiences, and a different purpose. Romans 12 and 1 Corinthians 12 both remind us that God gives different gifts to different people so that together we reflect Him.

Your Style Is You

This is something I've been trying to fine-tune myself.

God has called me to be an evangelist—even if that ministry happens mostly online. For a long time, I kept wondering what my style should be. I looked at other creators, other speakers, and other ministries, trying to figure out what worked.

Then it finally hit me.

My style is... me.

I don't have to sound like someone else. I don't have to copy another creator. I don't have to force a personality that isn't mine.

God didn't call me to be them.

He called me to be me.

I want to share the truth. I want to talk about my victories, my failures, my struggles, and what God is teaching me through all of it. I want to be real because real people need to hear about a real Savior.

Of course, my anxiety still tells me not to post.

It whispers that nobody cares. That I'll say the wrong thing. That I'll embarrass myself.

But I've started realizing something.

Those fears aren't from God.

Fear often shows up right before we're about to step into something God has called us to do. The enemy would love nothing more than to keep us silent, distracted, and doubting ourselves.

That's why I'm choosing to move forward anyway.

Not because I'm fearless.

But because I'm trusting God more than my fear.

So from now on, when I post...

It will be my style.

The style God is shaping through my life, my experiences, and my walk with Him.

Maybe that's something you need to hear today too.

Stop trying to become someone else.

God isn't asking you to copy another believer.

He's asking you to faithfully become the person He created you to be.

Don't let fear tell you that you can't.

Don't let anxiety convince you to stay hidden.

Lean into the places where fear tries to hold you back, because sometimes that's exactly where God wants to grow your faith.

Joshua 1:9 reminds us to be strong and courageous—not because we're strong on our own, but because the Lord is with us wherever we go.

God isn't finished with you.

He has a purpose for your life.

So embrace it.

Walk in it.

Trust Him with it.

God bless you all.

Prayer

Heavenly Father,

Thank You for creating me with purpose. Thank You for knowing every detail of my life and for giving me gifts that You designed specifically for me. Help me stop comparing myself to others and give me the courage to be who You've called me to be.

When fear and anxiety try to hold me back, remind me that You are with me. Give me the strength to step out in faith, even when it's uncomfortable. Help me use my life, my story, and my voice to point people to You.

Continue shaping me into the person You created me to be.

In Jesus' name,

Amen.
