Why not try Jesus?

I’ll be honest. About five years ago, I didn’t think I needed Jesus — or even God. I went through seasons of questioning if God was real at all. Then some things happened in my life, and I found myself praying… begging God for help.

And God answered.

Not once. Not something that could be written off as coincidence. But again and again. I would pray, and within about 30 seconds — boom — there was my answer. That was something I couldn’t deny.

Even then, I still didn’t put God first right away. For a couple of months, I kept living like I was in control. Until one day, I hit a crossroads. I prayed what I truly believed might be my last prayer. I told God I needed help… because I was ready to end my life.

And once again — about 30 seconds later — God answered.

That moment changed everything.

After that, I got back on the path with God. And yes, life has gotten better. That doesn’t mean life became easy. Jesus promised us there would be storms. But how we approach those storms — how we pray, how we trust — changes everything.

If I’m being honest, I thought I had already put God first. But really, God was probably a solid 1.5 most days… okay, second place. 😅 What I didn’t realize was that God was changing me the whole time — growing me into who I was meant to be.

Then life flipped upside down again.

Old me would have lost his mind. But the person God has shaped me into now? I walked straight into that storm — and realized it wasn’t a storm at all. It was training.

And this time, I finally let go of everything and gave it all to God.

The last few months have been life-altering. I can’t fully explain the peace I feel now. The deep knowing that everything will be okay — no matter what. It’s real, and it’s incredible.

So I ask you this…

Why not try Jesus?

Why not talk to God and see what God has to say? You truly have nothing to lose. Maybe you’re angry with God because of your past. Tell God that. Maybe you need proof God is real and actually cares. Say that too.

God can handle your honesty.

No matter what, I love you all — and I know God loves you even more. Have an amazing day today.

Father, I pray that anyone who needs to hear this message today is brought to it. I pray that those who feel lost, broken, angry, or overwhelmed would find You in the middle of their storm. Meet them where they are. Show them Your love, Your peace, and Your truth. Amen.

🙏 If You Want to Try Jesus
You can start with a simple prayer like this:

God, I don’t know what I believe — or maybe I’ve just been angry with You. But I’m willing to sit at the table and talk. Show me what I need to see. Show me that You are real and that You care.

And if you’re ready to invite Jesus into your life:

Jesus, I believe You died for my sins. Come into my heart and show me what I’ve been missing. Fill me with Your love. Cleanse me, change me, and lead me. Amen.
