๐ Daily Devotional โ The God Who Finishes What He Starts
Last Sunday of 2025
๐ Verse
โBeing confident of this, that He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.โ
โ Philippians 1:6
๐ญ Reflection
Here we are โ the final Sunday of 2025.
This year carried joy, loss, waiting, breakthroughs, and unanswered questions. Some prayers were answered loudly. Others were met with silence. Some chapters closed cleanly. Others ended without explanation.
But here is the truth we must anchor to today:
God does not abandon unfinished work.
What feels incomplete to you is not forgotten by God. What still hurts has not been wasted. What feels delayed is not denied โ it is being shaped.
We often look at the year through the lens of results. God looks at it through the lens of refinement. You may not see the full picture yet, but you are not standing at the end of a failed year โ you are standing at the edge of a faithful God still working.
If youโre tired, God is not.
If youโre confused, God is not.
If youโre unsure what comes next, God already stands there.
This year did not break you. It revealed you.
And the same God who carried you through every high and low of 2025 will walk with you into whatever comes next.
You are not behind.
You are not forgotten.
You are not unfinished.
๐ Prayer
Father God, thank You for walking with us through every moment of this year โ the good, the painful, and the uncertain. Thank You for staying faithful when we were weary, and steady when we were confused.
As this year closes, we place every unfinished prayer, every unanswered question, and every lingering ache into Your hands. We trust that You are still working, still shaping, still redeeming.
Give us peace as we step forward, courage to trust You more deeply, and faith to believe that what You started, You will finish.
In Jesusโ name, Amen.
