“God Is Doing A New Thing”

📖 Verse

“See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.”
— Isaiah 43:19

💭 Reflection

A new year often comes with new expectations: new blessings, new growth, new love, new provision. And while it’s easy to focus on what we hope will change, God reminds us of something deeper—God is already at work.

God doesn’t wait for perfect conditions. God makes a way in the wilderness and brings streams to the wasteland. That means even the places that feel dry, broken, lonely, or unfinished are not forgotten. They are the very places God loves to work.

This is what GIDANT means:
God Is Doing A New Thing.

Not always loudly.
Not always instantly.
But faithfully, intentionally, and right on time.

Sometimes the new thing doesn’t look new at first. Sometimes it looks uncomfortable, unfamiliar, or slow. But God asks us a powerful question: “Do you perceive it?” Are we paying attention? Are we trusting that even now—especially now—God is moving?

As we step into this year, let’s choose faith over fear, trust over doubt, and anticipation over anxiety. God is not finished. God is not late. God is doing a new thing.

🙏 Prayer

Father God, we thank You for this new year and for the new things You are doing—even when we don’t fully see them yet. Help us to trust You in the wilderness seasons and to recognize the streams of grace You are already providing. We place our hopes, our fears, our plans, and our future in Your hands. Lead us forward as You build something new in our lives.
