📖 Daily Devotional — Anticipating God’s Plan
“Hope That Waits Well”
📖 Verse
“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
— Jeremiah 29:11
💭 Reflection
There is a difference between waiting and anticipating. Waiting can feel heavy and uncertain, but anticipation is filled with hope. Anticipation says, “I don’t see it yet, but I trust it’s coming.”
God often places dreams in our hearts long before we understand how they will unfold. Sometimes those dreams even seem to conflict with one another — calling versus desire, purpose versus rest, obedience versus longing. But God sees the full picture while we only see the next step.
Anticipating God’s plan doesn’t mean rushing ahead or demanding answers. It means trusting that God is already working behind the scenes. It means staying faithful where you are today while believing God is preparing something greater for tomorrow.
You don’t need to have it all figured out. You only need to stay close to God and trust that when the time is right, God will connect the dots in ways you never expected. The future isn’t something to fear — it’s something to look forward to when your life is in God’s hands.
🙏 Prayer
God, I trust You with my future. Even when I don’t understand how everything will come together, I believe You are at work. Help me wait with hope, walk with faith, and anticipate Your plans with peace instead of worry. I place my dreams, desires, and direction in Your hands. Lead me in Your timing and according to Your will. Amen.
AMEN!!
