Devotional

Good morning my friends.

I need to be real with you today. I stepped out and shared my faith in a new space—and wow… the response hit hard. Not encouragement. Not curiosity. Hate. Criticism. People picking apart small details, calling me a hypocrite, even other Christians saying I was “forcing” my faith on them.

And honestly? That kind of reaction can shake you if you’re not rooted.

But let’s bring this back to truth.

First—there is nothing wrong with having a business while serving God. In Matthew 21, when Jesus cleared the temple, it wasn’t because people were simply selling—it was because they were exploiting others, turning worship into manipulation and greed. There’s a difference. When your heart is to serve, to provide, and to support what God has called you to do, that matters. God sees the heart (Colossians 3:23).

Now the bigger issue…

We are called to share the Gospel. Period.

Jesus didn’t say, “Go and make disciples only where it’s comfortable.” He said in Matthew 28:19 to go into all the world. That includes spaces where people don’t agree. That includes places where people push back.

Romans 1:16 reminds us not to be ashamed of the Gospel. Not when it’s easy, not when it’s popular and not when people applaud—but especially when they don’t.

Let’s be clear though—there’s a difference between forcing and sharing.

We are not called to shove truth down people’s throats. But we are absolutely called to live it, speak it, and reflect it. Posting a devotional? That’s not force. That’s obedience.

And some people won’t like it. Actually—Jesus promised that.

When you stand for Him, you will face opposition. Even from people who claim to follow Him. That doesn’t mean you’re wrong—it often means you’re walking the narrow path.

Acts 5:29 says we obey God over people.

So when people say “be quiet,” but God says “speak”… we already know the answer.

And yes, Matthew 10:33 is real. Denying Him—being ashamed of Him—hiding Him to fit in… that’s not the life we’re called to live.

This isn’t about being loud for attention. This is about being faithful.

People’s opinions will change daily. One moment they praise you, the next they tear you down. But God? He sees you. He knows your heart. And if He is pleased with you—that’s what matters.

So don’t shrink back.

Don’t water it down.

Don’t let fear silence what God has placed inside of you.

Share His love. Speak His name. Live boldly.

Because at the end of the day, we don’t answer to people—we answer to Him.

Prayer

Lord,
Give me boldness when I feel attacked and strength when I feel discouraged. Help me not to be shaken by opinions, but to stay grounded in Your truth. Purify my heart so everything I do points back to You. Teach me to share Your love with wisdom, grace, and courage. And when fear tries to silence me, remind me who I belong to.

I choose You over approval. I choose obedience over comfort.

In Jesus’ name,

Amen.

There is a time for every season …

Whosoever shall not receive you, nor hear your words, when ye depart out of that house or city, shake off the dust of your feet. Matthew 10:14

We are of God: he that knoweth God heareth us; he that is not of God heareth not us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error. 1 John 4:6
