Devotional

Brothers and Sisters — this message is for EVERYONE.

When are we going to wake up?

This morning I was scrolling through social media, and honestly… what I saw hurt my heart.
Backhanded comments.
Rude replies.
People tearing each other down.
And not just unbelievers — Christians doing it too.

Bashing others.
Arguing with hate.
Forcing Jesus down people’s throats like a weapon.
Acting bitter, prideful, and downright mean.

THIS IS NOT WHAT JESUS WOULD DO.

Hear me clearly:

Jesus is coming sooner than later.
Could it be in our lifetime?
Absolutely.

And when He returns, He will NOT be applauding us for:

• winning arguments
• clapping back
• embarrassing people online
• acting holier-than-thou

Look, I understand the urge to snap back — that’s human.
But when the Holy Spirit whispers,
“Hey… don’t do that,”
that is EXACTLY what Jesus would do.

A close friend of mine put it perfectly:
When you feel like firing off the first reaction… choose the third or fourth option instead.
Because Jesus would never choose the first one.

⭐ We MUST do better.

We need to:
✔️ Lead by example
✔️ Do what Jesus would do
✔️ BE KIND
✔️ Build others up, not tear them down

What good comes from being hateful?
What testimony is that?

Yes, the fake profiles, fake news, fake everything is annoying.
IT SUCKS.
But if all we’re doing is spreading more negativity…

Then it’s time to step away from social media
and get into the Bible.

Because here’s the truth believers tend to forget:

GOD CREATED ALL OF US.

Act like it!

🙏 Prayer

Father, soften our hearts and guard our tongues.
Teach us to respond with love, patience, and wisdom.
Make us reflections of Jesus, not the world.
Holy Spirit, check us when we start to slip — and give us the strength to choose kindness instead of pride.
