Praise for Zechariah’s Prophecy
📖 Scripture
“Praise be to the Lord, the God of Israel,
because He has come to His people and redeemed them.”
— Luke 1:68 (NIV)
🔥 Prais-otional — Day 5: Praise for Zechariah’s Prophecy
For months, Zechariah had been silent.
No voice.
No speech.
Just waiting… watching… listening to God unfold His promise.
But when John was born and Zechariah wrote,
“His name is John,”
the silence broke —
and the FIRST sound that left his lips was praise.
He didn’t complain about the silence.
He didn’t question the past.
He didn’t focus on what he had missed.
He lifted his voice and declared:
“Praise be to the Lord…
He has come…
He has redeemed.”
Zechariah praised God for salvation that had already begun,
even before Jesus had been born.
Today we praise God for Zechariah’s prophecy —
a reminder that praise can rise even after seasons of silence.
That God is still faithful in the waiting.
That His promises never fail.
Zechariah teaches us that:
When God moves, praise should be the first thing out of our mouths.
🙏 Prayer of Praise
God, we praise You with Zechariah today.
Thank You for being faithful in our seasons of waiting.
Thank You for redemption that began long before we saw it.
Let praise be our first response,
and trust be our posture,
as we follow Your promises.
Amen.
