What we consider essential items

Essential Items We Accept

These items are intended to help individuals and families who are starting over, going through a difficult season, or simply need basic household necessities. If you are able PLEASE continue to store items. We will gladly be the middle man for the donation. We just have limited space.

Please Note: We currently have very limited storage space for couches, upholstered chairs, recliners, and other large furniture. If you would like to donate one of these items, please be willing to store it until we can find someone who needs it.

Baby Safety: Cribs and other baby equipment must meet current safety standards and be clean, complete, undamaged, and free of recalls.

Clothing & Shoes

  • Interview-appropriate clothing

  • Men's, women's, and children's shoes

All clothing and shoes MUST be clean and free from strong odors, mold, pests, excessive stains, or other sanitary concerns. Items that are unsafe or unsanitary may have to be discarded.

Storage space for clothing is currently limited.

Large & Small Appliances

We may accept working appliances and, in some cases, appliances that need reasonable repairs.

Examples include:

  • Crock-pots

  • Other useful household appliances

Please tell us about any known problems before donating an appliance.

Mobility & Accessibility Items

  • Shower chairs

  • Bedside commodes

  • Other basic mobility or accessibility equipment

These items must be clean, safe, and in good working condition.

General Household Items

  • Storage totes

  • Clothes hangers

  • Basic hand tools

  • Extension cords

  • Power strips

  • Basic household organization items

  • Other practical items needed to establish or maintain a home

Donation Condition Policy

Donated items must be clean, usable, safe, and in reasonable condition unless God’s Grace Studios has specifically agreed to accept the item for repair or restoration.

Giving It Forward / God’s Grace Studios reserves the right to decline or dispose of donated items that are unsafe, unsanitary, severely damaged, infested, recalled, or beyond reasonable repair.

Because our storage space is currently very limited, we may also ask donors to continue storing larger items until we can match them with someone in need.
